Nominate A Family

NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2025 HOLIDAY SEASON ARE **CLOSED**

HOW DO I NOMINATE A FAMILY AND WHAT ARE THE RULES?

When you click on the link to nominate a family it will direct you to the online nomination form. We will need you to complete as much of the information as possible. We receive an overwhelming number of nominations. Because of this, nominations which have not met the following rules will not be considered.

RULES FOR NOMINATNG A FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS ANGELS:

  1. Nominated families must physically live within 120 miles of Lewiston, Idaho (zip code 83501). Nominations for families outside this mileage area will not be considered.

  2. Priority is given to newly nominated families. We want to help as many different families in the area as possible. Families who have received assistance in the past will not be given first priority for assistance.

  3. The ages of children we will provide gifts for is 0-17. The only exception to this is if the child is 18, they must still reside at home, and must be in high school and not yet graduated. Children over 18, not residing in the family home, and not in school or who are graduated are considered adults and their own household.

  4. We must be able to contact the nominated family - please provide as much contact information as possible including valid phone numbers and/or email addresses.

    • We will make three attempts to contact a nominated family and will use each method of communication provided to us if needed.

    • Nominated families will be given 3 days to respond to each attempt at communication. If we do not receive a reply within that timeframe we will move on to the next family in need and the nominated family will be considered ineligible for services.

    • We will not make an exception to this rule.

  5. Recipient families must have a way to pick up their donations in Lewiston. We will provide the date, time, and location their gifts will be ready, but we will not deliver gifts to our recipient families this year. Therefore, they must have some mode of transportation (either their own or a designated other party) who can pick their items up for them.

  6. Nominations will only be accepted via our official nomination form on this website. Follow the link on this page to complete the nomination form.

    • Requests for nominations not submitted through our official nomination form on this page will not be accepted. We will not make an exception to this rule.

  7. If any admin with Christmas Angels discovers that information on a nomination form, or the recipient family information form, is falsified, the nominated family will be immediately disqualified as a recipient family. We take honesty and integrity seriously!

  8. Please do not ask us to make exceptions to these rules. We do our best to serve as many families as possible while protecting the integrity of our organization. These rules exist to ensure that everyone has a positive experience and that we may continue to serve families for years to come.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT A NOMINATION?

When we begin receiving nominations only a few of our admins will have the ability to see the full nomination form. This is to protect sensitive information about nominated families including names, addresses, etc. The person who nominated the recipient family will not be revealed by Christmas Angels under any circumstance. If you choose to reveal yourself, that will be your choice, but in the spirit of giving we will keep your information anonymous.  Nominated families will be screened for eligibility and will be assigned to one of our admins, who will then reach out to the nominated family.

WILL YOU MAKE A SPECIAL EXCEPTION FOR AN INDIVIDUAL OR FAMILY IN NEED?
We regret that we cannot make special exceptions for individuals or families in need that do not meet the requirements listed above. Our resources are limited, and we want to be very clear that all nominees are being treated equally and fairly.  We also must adhere to the rules and provisions of our organization as outlined on this website.

IS THERE A LIMIT ON HOW MANY FAMILIES YOU WILL HELP?
The immediate answer is yes - but we do not yet know what that limit is. It depends on funding and the number of businesses and individuals that sign up to partner with us to adopt families. We will make every good faith effort to help as many eligible families as possible.

HOW CAN I HELP?

  • PARTICIPATE IN FUNDRAISERS - We have fundraisers all year long to raise as much money as we can to adopt as many families as possible. The more you participate, the more families we can help!

  • VOLUNTEER - We welcome your help as a volunteer! We will have a few opportunities for volunteers to help during the holiday season - the two most important being shopping day and wrapping day.

  • ADOPT A FAMILY - When we begin to prepare for You, or your business, can adopt a family!  Because we are a 501(c)(3), your donations are tax-deductible. You can choose the size of family you'd like to adopt (one child up to unlimited), and we will match you with a nominated family. We will remove all personal information from the recipient family's information form, and this will become your shopping list. You get to have all the fun of fulfilling the family's list with as many items from the list as you wish to donate!

  • MONETARY DONATIONS - If you want to participate but simply don't have the time to volunteer or adopt a family, you can always send money. Trust us when we say that your personal donations are literally the foundation upon which we rely to provide the assistance that we do. There is no donation too small!
